Yesterday was a glorious day in Bloomington, IN. We spent our day with Sam & Shelby along with their friends and family tucked away at Deer Park Manor. and I cannot express what a lovely group of people they are.
Shelby chose a stunning lace gown with sleeves that complimented her so well.
Shelby's mom and sister helped her dress for her special day. The room was full of light and love as Shelby's excitement to see Sam filled our hearts.
Our first special moment was a private first look with both fathers, as well as a special tie pin Shelby gifted them.
Then it was time for the bride & groom to share their private first look at their ceremony arch.
The couple also chose to read their vows to each other privately.
It was so sweet seeing Shelby's reaction to seeing her rings for the first time. Sam surprised her and didn't let her see the complete set until the big day!
So how did this engagement begin you may be asking? Sam took Shelby to the Dapper pig in Evansville, IN which is her favorite. They then went ice skating. Shelby loves to ice skate Sam? Not so much! Sam fell with the ring box in his back pocket and after getting back up and skating a little longer he brought Shelby to the center, got down on one knee, and asked the question that changed her life for the better. Everyone in the arena stopped and gathered around the edges. Sam asked Shelby to spend forever with her and of course she said YES!
When we asked Sam what he loves about Shelby, his response was "Just about all of it. She calls me out on everything, makes me want to be better, laughs when I am acting dumb, is always willing to try something new with me, is constantly showing me love, adopted a turtle while I was at work, etc etc etc"
When we asked Shelby what she loved most about Sam, her response was "EVERYTHING! I love his smile. I love his adventurous soul and love for the outdoors. I love that he loves God. I love that he is comfortable being himself around me."
Sam & Shelby chose to surround themselves with a fun and sweet bridal party. They helped and supported these two through out the day.
It was time to head to the reception and enjoy the rest of our evening!
