They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, but it sure doesn't feel like it when its your big day! Rain or shine, Josh & Morgan had a lovely day! We began our day in Josh's childhood church in North Liberty, IN. Its a quaint town and the church had that lovely small town feel.
It was a windy day, but the sun was shining through all the windows of the church as Morgan's mom made the final zips on her gown. Meanwhile, Josh finished his suit details surrounded by his best friends.
When it was time to start the ceremony, we were so happy to listen to Morgan's mother treat us all to a special song. Not to mention the archway built by one of the groomsmen. We just loved all the family ties on this wedding day.
Their vows were so sweet, and so emotional that the entire audience sighed in delight. The joy on their faces as they shared their first kiss and walked back down the aisle was contagious.
Josh & Morgan chose the perfect bridal party full of family and close friends. And of course, one awesome Bro-maid!
When we asked Josh what makes him love Morgan so much, he said "She's smart, funny and beautiful. And she laughs at my jokes."
When we asked Morgan the same about her groom, she said "His sense of humor! Josh and I went to high school together; that's where my crush started developing because he was just so funny. We had speech class together our senior year, and I always looked forward to his speeches, he was clever and witty. Then, years later, on our first date he still had me cracking up. That's what really made me fall in love with him."
When it was time for portraits, the wind really kicked up. It perfectly complimented Morgans long veil. As we wrapped up photos, the rain finally began to trickle down. Almost as if it was waiting just long enough for these two to enjoy their day.
Then it was time to make the short drive over to The Silver Palace for their reception. Josh & Morgan continued to the sweet touches with handmade favors as well as lovely Sunday dinner.
When it was time for their dances, we were all so enthralled not only by the love they share and the way they look at each other, but also that they chose to dance with the Ripple Effect choir providing the music. This was a super romantic touch!
One more family touch, the cake was provided by the mother of the groom. They had a little cake in the face competition, and luckily Morgan won! She got to smash the cake in Josh's face, and she did one heck of a job. Of course, you still have to share a kiss!
Enjoy your honeymoon! We hope its as fun as your big day!
