Alex & Xavier really became near and dear to our hearts over the last year. Something about them just tugged at our heart strings, maybe its their adorable and playful personalities? Or our mutual love of the pups? Either way we really couldn't wait for their big day downtown Indy at the Rathskeller.
While the day started cloudy and rainy, it quickly cleared up when we arrived at the venue.
Alex's gown was so classic and really matched her personality. We loved that they chose to go with Chucks for their shoes as well!
It was time to get ready, and Xavier's nerves had us all giggling and smiling.
First look time! We loved sharing this private moment with these two surrounded by all the light from the stained glass windows.
We love how much these two compliment each others personalities!
Alex & Xavier chose to have their siblings in their wedding instead of a bridal party, and they were definitely a fun group to work with!
The Rathskeller and the block around it are full of fun little places to do couples portraits, and you better believe we stepped out into the city streets to stop traffic for a few!
It was finally time to officially tie the knot, and their ceremony was so lovely. Instead of a unity ceremony, they exchanged drinks in their German beer steins! Alex's giggles kept us all laughing and smiling alongside them.
Then it was time to party! We had a delightful German cuisine for dinner including the Rathskellers amazing pretzels, seriously if you haven't had them yet you are missing out.
After dinner and dancing, we decided to play a little game. 5 Guests faced Xavier in a challenge of holding a full beer stein out at arms length. While we all know Xavier could have won it, he had already won enough by marrying Alex!
One last drink for the night!
Thank you so much you two, we absolutely loved spending the day with you!
