Courtney & Marcus’s had the most incredible wedding day yesterday at Avon Gardens. I actually thought I may need to stop and pinch myself throughout their day. The weather was just off the charts perfect for August in Indiana!
From the moment I met Courtney & Marcus’s family I was welcomed and treated like part of the family. Their day started in a private downtown Indianapolis penthouse where Courtney and her best gals started the day off. There was laughter, tears of joy, and an overall feeling of warmth and love. Courtney finished her makeup off, and sat down to write out her heartfelt and loving letter to Marcus.
Courtney’s Marie Gabriel Couture gown was a stunner. With cascading lace details, delicate beading, and a train perfectly suited for a romantic garden wedding. She chose to compliment her gown with sparkling shoes, along with her something blue which happened to be the earrings she wore to prom with Marcus. She chose to attach the earrings to her bouquet.
Of course, if you have a penthouse downtown, you just have to do a champagne pop with your girls on the rooftop! Remember girls, Rosè all day!
Courtney and Marcus put on their finishing touches at the venue just before Courtney stepped outside to have her first look with her father. How adorable are they?
Then it was time for Courtney and Marcus to share their letters with each other. It was so romantic listening to them read their letter with their eyes filled with happy tears. They weren’t allowed to look at each other, but that brief moment together was incredibly special.
Then it was time for the ceremony! I cannot express how gorgeous the ceremony was. Filled with stunning florals facing a pond and surrounded by a few hundred of their loving family and friends, Courtney and Marcus tied the knot. The ceremony was full of loving moments shared between the two of them but watching Marcus hand Courtney his handkerchief really brought the emotions out for me!
Of course, what bride and groom would be complete without a fun and supportive bridal party? Courtney chose her sisters as her maid & matron of honor while Marcus chose his brother for his best man.
Marcus loves Courtney's heart of gold and her unique laugh at even the smallest things.
Courtney loves Marcus's smile and goofy personality
A little story about Courtney & Marcus.. These two have been circling each other most of their lives. No kidding guys, since 7th grade! Marcus chose to propose to Courtney in Portugal. Being the amazing guy he is, he even made sure to hire a photographer. In Courtney’s words, “He took me for a walk to dinner through the beautiful seaside neighborhood of Alfama. He surprised me when he got down on his knee, and I couldn’t even remember if I actually said yes because I was so excited!”
They entered their reception with more love, and enjoyed dinner, toasts, and a firework display to their surprise!
Of course, a first dance under the summer stars was the icing on the cake.
We said goodbye that evening with a private moment under twinkle lights, then they escaped down the pathway full of sparklers to their happily ever after.
Wishing you both a happy ever after. As the Germans say " Alles Gute für eure gemeinsame Zukunft!"
